Coming to a Nightclub Near You (you wish)

dj Posted by Hello

My friend sent me a link to a site from the Netherlands of Lejo the hand puppeteer. You can click on GB to read it in English, then click on Videos and watch Lejo's talent for yourself.
My favs are the dj and the accordian players.

Oobi and Uma Posted by Hello

Lejo's "hand puppets" are mildly entertaining, whereas the Noggin show Oobi at least teaches you lessons about sharing, cleanliness and tolerance. (Notice below the African-American hand, Kako, with his stylish hat and light-green eyes).

Click here to make Oobi dance. Try not to let his voice and vexatious way of speaking make you stick a pencil in your eye. (ew, that made me think of this Celebrity Smack! entry - you must click on pic link.)

Flashback

I went to see Duran Duran last night. I couldn't believe I was standing there watching one of the biggest bands of my generation. The show was great - they played a lot of their old stuff with a few new things, and the boys still look good.

John & Simon

There were two guys in front of us who had to be some of DDs biggest fans. They were in their late 30s, and we found out later that they flew in from Brazil to see the show. Hm, interesting. They knew (and sang) the words to every song, including the newer ones that I must admit I am not familiar with; plus they knew the order of the songs so I guess they travel to different cities to see the same show. One of them looked just like James Gandolfini and it was so surreal to see Tony Soprano jumping up and down to The REFLEX.
One of the best moments (besides Tony Soprano and friend hugging and swaying to "Come Undone"): for the first song of their encore, they rocked the house with their remake of White Lines. Awesome.

Other favorites that they played:
Save a Prayer
Wild Boys
Girls on Film *Denise ;-)
Union of the Snake
Hungry Like the Wolf
Rio

Would have liked to hear:
New Moon on Monday
View to a Kill
All She Wants Is
Ordinary World

It was definitely a good show and I'm definitely glad I went.

I would have taken the elevator!
