Fark alerts us to a contest at Utah Valley State College where the students were vying for a '95 Ford Taurus. The story is found on Brigham Young University's news website, where a member of the UVSC Social Committee says they are known for doing things they wouldn't dare do at BYU.

The first runner-up declined an offer of $175 from the eventual winner to drop out of the contest. After 21 hours, Mary Schauerhamer won when her final opponent lost his balance. I don't want to know what he slipped in.

ohmygod. YES!! I am sooooo proud to be UVSC alumni. (embarassing wince). This is my school. I promise the English department kicks ass, even if the student body is lame. The things people will do...scarifice their pride, urinate on themselves, vomit on the school floor,...yes, what a world we live in. Nay, what I school I hail from...
sigh.
I once had a friend who lost his job because he spend over two weeks living in a car inside a mall. The suckiest part, at the end of two weeks the promotions people lost interest in the gig and decided to randomly select the winner. There were two people left, my friend and a girl who was about to walk away. They randomly chose, he randomly lost. Crap.
